This is a 6-month contract position for an Automation Tester available remotely in the US. The role focuses on testing client applications, building and maintaining automation frameworks, and providing recommendations for optimization across UI and API testing environments.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch using C# and modern testing tools
- Perform UI and API testing on client applications
- Write and execute automated test cases using Selenium, Specflow, and Playwright
- Analyze test results and provide recommendations for application optimization
- Collaborate with development teams in Agile environments
- Manage test documentation, including UML artifacts and analysis deliverables
- Utilize Team Foundation Server for tracking user stories, bugs, enhancements, and burndown metrics
- Work with offshore resources and coordinate testing efforts across distributed teams
- Translate technical data into actionable testing strategies
- Support enterprise-scale testing initiatives
- Required
- Strong C# experience with demonstrated ability to write production-quality C# code
- Approximately 5 years of experience with Selenium in a C# environment
- Expertise in Specflow and Playwright
- Hands-on expertise building automation frameworks from scratch
- Expertise in both UI testing and API testing
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience using Team Foundation Server, including entering user stories, bugs, enhancements, and working with burndown charts
- Strong test management skills and thorough understanding of testing and analysis deliverables
- Familiarity with UML artifacts and their relationship to the development process
- Experience with modern testing tools (such as Quality Center, Load Runner, or equivalent)
- Strong technical acumen with a track record of hands-on implementations across multiple technologies
- Ability to function effectively in highly technical environments
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise testing initiatives
- Preferred
- Experience with GenAI tools such as Cursor or Git Hub Copilot
- Ability to write SQL queries
- ERP system experience
- Experience with integration testing involving ERP systems
- Demonstrated ownership mentality and ability to deliver independently on assigned tasks
