Social Media Marketing
As a Social Media Manager at vCluster, you aren't just scheduling posts—you are building the technical voice of one of the most interesting infrastructure companies in the cloud-native ecosystem. You will own the full social program across Linked In and X, turn the thinking of our leaders into content the Kubernetes community actually wants to read, and show up live at the events that matter most to our audience.
What You’ll DoContent Calendar Ownership: Plan, write, and publish weekly posts on Linked In and X. Stay two weeks ahead at all times. No gaps, no scramble.
Executive Thought Leadership Extraction: Turn the deep architectural insights of our leadership team into high-impact published content and thought leadership.
Community Management: Respond thoughtfully to comments, DMs, and mentions on both platforms. Engage with practitioners, contributors, and platform engineering leaders—adding real value to the infrastructure conversation, not just reacting.
Reactive Distribution: When something happens in the cloud-native and AI infra world—a major CNCF release, an architectural debate, a Kube Con announcement—you move fast to capture attention while the narrative has a short half-life.
Live Event Coverage: Cover priority global events (such as Kube Con and key AI Infra summits) in real time—delivering live threads on X, daily Linked In updates, and post-event structural recaps.
Editorial Quality Bar: Act as the standard-bearer for what goes out under our brand name. You will be expected to ruthlessly protect our brand voice, push back on subpar content, and actively propose higher-impact alternatives.
Infrastructure Literacy: You don't need to be a Kubernetes kernel engineer, but you must be "infrastructure-literate." You understand the landscape well enough to write credibly for Dev Ops and platform teams.
Platform Mastery: You have an opinionated view on how to win on Linked In and X. You can point directly to developer-centric or highly technical social accounts you have personally scaled and grown.
Calendar Discipline: You operate with a clear structural framework. You build and own a structured content calendar without being asked, maintaining a two-week safety buffer by default.
Speed and Judgment: You balance high-velocity output with corporate judgment. You know exactly when to capitalize on an infrastructure trend instantly and when a narrative requires strict message alignment first.
Analytical Rigor: You measure social success by its ability to spark genuine community conversation, traffic, and distribution momentum—not just empty vanity metrics.
Infrastructure Roots: Background managing social channels for developer tools, open-source ecosystems, or AI/MLOps infrastructure.
Executive Ghost-Writing: Direct experience translating deep technical expertise from executives into compelling, human narratives.
Multimedia Capability: Basic video clip selection and editing skills to transform live product demos or executive sessions into high-engagement social cuts.
On-Site Autonomy: Comfort being on-the-ground at massive industry events, executing a live social playbook entirely independently.
We're the #1 platform for AI infrastructure, trusted by the world's fastest-growing AI cloud builders. We're a venture-backed startup that's raised over $28M from top-tier investors including Khosla Ventures (first investor in OpenAI, Git Lab, Stripe, and Door Dash), and we're in a hyper-growth phase looking for motivated people to join our team. Our headquarters are in San Francisco (Salesforce Tower), but our team is distributed around the globe with a remote-first culture.
We give AI Cloud providers and AI factories a hyperscaler-like…
