Role Description This full-time, on-site Network Technician role is based in Springfield, KY and supports the district’s technology infrastructure across schools and offices. The Network Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware, cabling, and related equipment, as well as monitoring network performance to ensure reliable connectivity. Daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving network issues, providing technical support to staff, and assisting with upgrades, patches, and backups.
The role also involves implementing basic network security practices, documenting configurations and procedures, and coordinating with vendors or service providers when needed. The Network Technician works closely with the technology team and school personnel to ensure that instructional and administrative systems operate efficiently and securely.

- Assists in the fulfillment of KETS requirements for network and messaging system.
- Serves as District Webmaster and assistant area network (LAN) system administrator.
- Responsible for district websites, training teachers and staff on classroom website management, configuration and distribution of PC's with software and hardware appropriate to user's needs.
- Maintains and promotes ADA web compliance on all websites. Audits school websites for ADA compliance. Meets periodically with school level web admins.
- Has experience with Active Directory, Office 365 admin console, Google admin console and SCCM.
- Networking experience with switch gear installation and configuration.
- VOIP phone setup and installation.
- Troubleshoots problems with network and computer hardware and software.
- Acts as technology resource person for all staff.
- Assist in keeping inventory of all district technology equipment, software and software updates.
- Practices and promotes data security with all users.
- Helps maintain network security with appropriate security updates and service packs. Practices and promotes appropriate security protocol.
