We are seeking an experienced SAP Funds Management (FM) / Grants Management (GM) Functional Consultant to support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of SAP Public Sector Management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in SAP FM and GM, with experience working in government, higher education, or public sector organizations. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to deliver scalable and compliant SAP solutions.
Responsibilities- Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP FM/GM functional solutions.
- Configure and support SAP Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM) modules.
- Design and implement budget control, fund availability control (AVC), grant lifecycle management, and sponsored program processes.
- Collaborate with business users to gather, document, and validate functional requirements.
- Support end-to-end implementation activities, including configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements aligned with SAP best practices.
- Develop functional specifications for custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, reports, and workflows.
- Coordinate with ABAP developers and integration teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support integration with SAP FI, CO, MM, PS, Project Systems, and other SAP modules.
- Create and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely functional support.
- Prepare user documentation, training materials, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Participate in project planning, status reporting, and stakeholder meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Funds Management (FM) and Grants Management (GM).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Budget Control System (BCS)
- Funds Availability Control (AVC)
- Budgeting and Budget Transfers
- Grant Lifecycle Management
- Sponsored Programs and Sponsored Classes
- Experience integrating SAP FM/GM with SAP FI, CO, MM, and PS.
- Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4
HANA Public Sector solutions. - Strong understanding of public sector financial processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience with functional design documentation, configuration, testing, and production support.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
