The Role

Open Train AI is seeking a Technical Writing AI Response Evaluator to assess AI-generated written responses against specific writing prompts and relevant quality standards. You will compare outputs, assign analytical scores, and provide concise, well-supported rationales.

This contractor opportunity is suited to someone who can recognize subtle differences in technical or instructional writing and communicate nuanced quality judgments clearly. The engagement is open to candidates in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

What You'll Do

You will evaluate multiple AI-generated responses to writing prompts and document your findings carefully. Your work will help identify opportunities to improve the instructional value and overall quality of model outputs.

You will collaborate asynchronously with project managers and reviewers while maintaining consistency and completeness across deliverables.

  • Compare AI-generated responses against writing prompts and quality standards
  • Assess clarity, tone, coherence, usefulness, and adherence to instructions
  • Score responses using analytical judgment
  • Write clear, comprehensive, and well-supported rationales
  • Identify ways to improve the instructional value of model outputs
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy, and thoroughness across deliverables
  • Communicate effectively with project managers and reviewers in virtual settings
Requirements

This role requires native-level English fluency, advanced written communication, and demonstrated experience in technical writing, editing, or content evaluation. You should be comfortable making detailed judgments about written quality and explaining those judgments precisely.

Prior experience with AI systems or model-evaluation practices is helpful but not required. The role values strong written English, critical analysis, attention to detail, and reliable independent work.
