Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Format, edit, and proofread press releases quickly and accurately
• Code releases based on client distribution requests and suggest beneficial alternatives
• Contact clients to resolve issues such as errors or missing information
• Assess authenticity of press release orders and
  ** escalate problematic content
• Monitor incoming orders and ensure timely handling
• Ensure successful transmission of content online
• Assist other Newsroom teams with overflow orders
• Perform shift opening, closing, and change duties
• Maintain knowledge of Business Wire products, services, procedures, and policies
• Handle incoming calls, answer client questions, and guide clients through order submission
• Provide membership information and set up new accounts when appropriate
• Collaborate with sales and other departments as needed
• Report technical issues to Service Desk or Web Support teams promptly
• Authorize credit card payments when necessary
• Run and submit daily distribution reports to billing department
• Maintain a daily activity log

• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and project completion skills under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and good judgment
• Basic technical skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and web applications
• Reliability demonstrated by good attendance and punctuality
• Courteous and professional phone manner and demeanor
• Flexibility with work schedule, including overnight shift availability (Mon-Fri 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM EST)

• Hourly rate range: $20 to $24, based on education, experience, skills, and market data
