Job Description # Vice President, Infrastructure Cost & Product Economics## About the Role This position sits within BNY’s Technology Services Group and focuses on improving how infrastructure and platform costs are tracked, forecasted, and allocated across products and services. It is based in NY/NJ, LM, or Pittsburgh.

The role works closely with Infrastructure Service Delivery groups, Product Managers, Service Owners,  Finance, Engineering, and IT Asset  Management. Its purpose is to strengthen cost transparency, unit costing, and operational reporting as Public Cloud and AI infrastructure continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities – Lead infrastructure cost transparency and unit-cost modeling using Apptio.  – Align infrastructure and platform costs to products and services through disciplined cost management.  – Review and validate direct, indirect, and vendor cost components with cross-functional partners.  – Document, standardize, and improve volume forecasting processes for budget planning, rate setting, and product cost modeling.  – Translate business needs into functional requirements that improve reporting, automation, and process effectiveness.  

– Work with IT Asset Management and Fin Ops teams to define data capture requirements for usage and volume tracking.  – Support current and future chargeback initiatives, including Public Cloud and AI infrastructure.  – Prepare executive-level reports and presentations covering KPIs, unit-cost trends, cost drivers, and external benchmarking.  – Drive continuous improvement across cost and operational processes.## Required Skills– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.  

– 6–10 years of experience.## Preferred Skills– Advanced certifications in infrastructure or technology management.## Cloud Platforms & Technologies–   Fin Ops Platforms:

Public Cloud, AI infrastructure## Fin Ops Responsibilities– Build and maintain unit-cost and cost-transparency methodologies.  – Improve cost allocation across direct, indirect, and vendor spend.  – Enhance forecasting to support budgets, rate setting, and product cost models.  – Define data requirements for usage and volume capture to support chargeback.  – Strengthen cost, usage, and volume reporting and related automation.  – Deliver KPI reporting, unit-cost trend analysis, cost-driver insights, and benchmarking for senior leadership.
