As an Information Technology Generalist 2 with the Enterprise Technology Services Office, you will play an important part in supporting technology that serves the entire Commonwealth. This role allows you to help keep equipment current, secure, and functioning at its best. You will work with motivated teammates and provide hands‑on support at locations statewide. Your commitment will help maintain a dependable IT foundation for agency operations.
This position focuses on administering, installing, transporting, and maintaining information technology equipment across centralized and remote locations. The role helps ensure information technology resources remain secure, up‑to‑date, and aligned with enterprise policies. As an Information Technology Generalist 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Hardware Relocation: Relocate designated information technology hardware and coordinate moves across Pennsylvania
- User Coordination: Schedule repairs with site contacts and communicate any service disruptions in advance
- Construction Support: Serve as the IT point of contact for new building projects and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors
- Cable Management: Run, terminate, and test category cabling to support network needs
- Equipment Deployment: Deploy new equipment, train others on standard setups, and maintain consistency during refresh projects
- System Maintenance: Install, update, and maintain operating systems while troubleshooting hardware and software issues with IT groups

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full‑time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday
- Friday, with a 30‑minute lunch. - Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

- One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1;
or - Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services;
or - Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field;
or - A bachelor's degree in any information technology field;
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
This position issubject to the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement or memorandum of understanding.
