Oracle PeopleSoft Data Security Consultant

Overview

We are seeking an Oracle People Soft Data Security Consultant who will support our NYS client. This role will secure the handling, integration, transmission, and storage of People Soft data in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with a focus on Oracle database controls, encryption, access governance, and integration security. The consultant will help protect sensitive enterprise data across People Soft, downstream systems, and identity platforms while supporting secure cloud operations and cybersecurity best practices.

• Secure the handling, integration, transmission, and storage of People Soft data within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Implement and support Oracle database security controls, including encryption, auditing, privileged account controls, and database hardening.
• Protect People Soft data flows and integrations with downstream systems, identity platforms, web services, APIs, and related gateways.
• Support access governance, application security, data protection, and monitoring practices for sensitive enterprise data.
• Collaborate with application, database, cybersecurity, IAM, integration, and cloud teams to maintain secure and compliant data environments.

• 4+ years of experience in Database Security, with strong hands-on expertise securing Oracle databases and sensitive enterprise data.
• 4+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including cloud database security, monitoring, access controls, and secure data storage.
• 4+ years of experience with People Soft, including People Soft architecture, security configuration, roles, permission lists, and security tables.
• 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of data protection, access governance, application security, and security best practices.

• Strong experience with Oracle Database Security technologies and practices, including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), Audit Vault / Unified Auditing, privileged account controls, and database hardening standards.
• Familiarity with data integrations, web services, SOAP/REST, and API gateways.
• Knowledge of data classification, sensitive data protection, and compliance practices.
• Experience with enterprise data-security tools such as DLP, DRM, and cloud data monitoring solutions.
• Strong expertise in Application Security fundamentals, including session management, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Understanding of cloud database monitoring, including logs, events, and metrics.
• Exceptional communication skills.
