Open Position - US Field Clinical Engineer, BAIBYS™ Fertility Ltd

BAIBYS™ aims to improve the success rate of infertility treatments by increasing pregnancy rates and reducing major birth defects. The BAIBYS™ System provides a fully automated solution for sperm selection at high magnification, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, and Robotics for detailed analysis of sperm morphology and motility.

Based in Tel Aviv, Israel, BAIBYS™ Fertility has finished developing its first device model and is ready to begin an international multi-center clinical trial.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Field Clinical Engineer (FCE) to support the implementation, integration, operation, and optimization of the BAIBYS™ System fertility labs. This role serves as a vital link between clinical users and technical teams, ensuring that healthcare technologies are effectively deployed and maintained to improve patient care and support clinical research.

The FCE will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our clinical trials, acting as the company's 'boots-on-the-ground' representative.

The FCE roles and responsibilities

• Installation & maintenance:
  Set up, service, and maintain the BAIBYS™ System in fertility labs across the USA.
• Provide on-site and remote support for troubleshooting and resolving application issues.
• Training & Support:
  Provide didactic and hands-on training to the clinical staff on device operation and clinical study protocol execution.
• Collaborate with BAIBYS' clinical and development teams, clinical staff, and CROs to gather requirements and tailor them accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data security standards.
• Liaise with the development team to coordinate software updates and integrations.
• Analyze system usage data to drive continuous improvements in usability and compliance.
• Coordinate testing and validation of new workflows or features before rollouts to research teams.
• Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
• Develop dashboards or reports that track study progress, user engagement, and application performance.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions with stakeholders to introduce the best practices, system enhancements, and policy changes.
• Support clinical study logistics at the clinics under his/her responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, life science, or a related field.
• Customer-facing presentation; polished and professional presence.
• Technical orientation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and clinical stakeholders.
• Experience working in IVF labs.
• Experience with clinical systems research and IT systems - An advantage.

Position

• Reporting to the company VP of Clinical, Regulation, and QA.
• Partial or Full-time position. Traveling to sites 2-3 times a week.
• Flexible hours, but significant team face-to-face collaboration activities are required.
