Service Desk Technician — Level II

4). Full adjudication required before starting - no waivers available. Must meet the DOJ residency requirement (3 of the last 5 years in the U.S.). This role supports Federal Prison Industries/UNICOR; personnel may interact with federal inmates under agency staff supervision.

Serve as a senior service desk resource in a secure federal IT environment. In addition to all Level I responsibilities, you will create knowledge and process content, support configuration management, and partner with development and operations teams.

• Perform all Service Desk Level I duties - workstation support, account management, Service Now ticketing, hardware/software installs, peripheral troubleshooting
• Author Knowledge Base articles, checklists, Service Level Agreements, procedures, and end-user training materials
• Collaborate with development staff to recreate reported issues in the test environment
• Work with operations staff on configuration management through Windows Operating System Deployment (OSD)
• Evaluate user requirements and workflows and recommend appropriate IT solutions; mentor Level I technicians

• 4 years of IT help desk experience
  , including help desk administration and user support
• Experience with Windows OSD/SCCM, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange/Outlook, and Service Now
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and end-user training

CompTIA A+ (preferred; may sub for 1 yr exp)

Hybrid - approximately 50% remote / 50% on-site. Primary site:
Central Office, Washington, DC. Possible travel to FCC Butner (NC), FCC Allenwood (PA), or FCC Victorville (CA). Government-furnished equipment (laptop, PIV card) provided.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM ET, ~1,992 hours/year. Full-time, W-2.
