QA Test Manager

This is a 6-month onsite contract position for a QA Test Manager based in Austin, Texas. You will lead end-to-end testing activities and coordinate QA resources within an Agile Scrum environment, supporting modernization efforts for legacy systems.

• Lead and coordinate QA execution, including test strategies, test plans, test suites, test scripts, test data, scheduling, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Oversee manual, UAT, accessibility/ADAA, performance, interface, and data-conversion testing.
• Review business-user test results and support production cutovers.
• Manage, mentor, and coordinate QA testing resources.
• Work with technology leadership to evaluate automated QA tools and conduct proof-of-concept and trial studies.
• Develop and maintain UAT test plans for assigned projects.
• Coordinate testing schedules, staff, meetings, and test activities.
• Document test results, defects, PIRs, and overall QA status.
• Identify and coordinate the creation of test data.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with business owners and project stakeholders.

• Required
  • 4+ years developing test plans based on end-user requirements.
  • 4+ years performing manual QA testing on web-based applications.
  • 4+ years performing ADAA/accessibility testing.
  • 4+ years working with Oracle 12c/19c databases, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, database table structures, and custom Oracle SQL queries.
  • 4+ years documenting QA/testing activities.
  • 2+ years working as a QA Lead or QA Manager, including managing, delegating, and mentoring QA testers.
  • 2+ years of experience using automated testing tools.
  • 2+ years working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • At least 1 year evaluating QA automation tools.
• Preferred
  • 4+ years supporting State of Texas regulatory applications/systems.
  • 1+ year working with Texas Department of Insurance applications and databases.
  • Experience with workers' compensation systems, TXCOMP, or comparable regulatory applications.

This position is fully onsite and candidates must be local to or able to work from the Austin, Texas area.
