RHEL Systems Administrator

• Manage, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems within lab and development environments.
• Implement system upgrades, performance enhancements, and configuration management solutions.
• Perform routine security patching on virtual machines and adhere to strict information security guidelines.
• Test new software releases to ensure compatibility and minimize operational impact.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for processes and procedures.

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification (such as Security+ CE or equivalent).
• 5+ years of systems administration experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Strong background in Linux system administration, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar enterprise distributions.
• Experience with OS-level package management, custom RPM creation, kernel/driver interactions, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers, lab hardware, user accounts, and file permissions.
• Ability to travel as required.

• Red Hat System Administration certifications (RHCSA or RHCE).
• Experience with LDAP integration in complex environments.
• Windows Server administration experience, including Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Familiarity with enterprise-level storage concepts.
• Experience supporting build and deployment environments, including build scripts and installation media.
• Basic networking knowledge, including subnets, routing, and VLANs.
