In the US, this opportunity is designed primarily for recent undergraduate talent, though candidates with relevant master’s or doctoral degrees may also be considered. If you have no more than three years of professional experience and fit this description, please apply for our rotational Swiss Re Graduate Programme, which starts Fall 2027.

About the Underwriting Analyst Role:

As an Underwriting Analyst, you'll develop a broad understanding of risk assessment, underwriting, portfolio management and commercial decision‑making while supporting underwriting teams across Swiss Re. Working alongside colleagues across underwriting, engineering, claims, pricing, client management, risk and operations, you'll contribute to evaluating risks, developing solutions and supporting sustainable growth. Through exposure to multiple business areas, you'll build the technical, analytical and relationship‑management skills needed for a successful long‑term career in underwriting.

  • Have demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected.
  • Have no more than three years of professional experience.
  • Are intellectually curious about risk, insurance, reinsurance and global business.
  • Think analytically, enjoy working with data and are motivated to learn, challenge assumptions and solve complex problems.
  • Are energized by collaborating across disciplines, geographies and cultures.
