Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager Assistant to join our growing team in Virginia Beach, VA!

The Commercial Lines Account Manager Assistant is responsible for issuing certificates of insurance, , and evidence of property insurance, as well as processing change requests, endorsements, and audits. Additionally, the role involves ordering loss runs, experience mods, MVRs, managing claim reporting, updating spreadsheets, and ensuring all documentation is accurately maintained and followed up on.

How You Will Contribute
  • Issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property insurance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policy terms.
  • Provide clients with  in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Order loss runs and Experience Mods from current insurance carriers to maintain up-to-date claim history and premium calculations.
  • Request and obtain Motor Vehicle Reports (MVRs) as needed, particularly for wholesalers or clients requiring vehicle insurance assessments.
  • Process changes requests, ensuring updates to policies are accurately reflected and necessary documentation is completed.
  • Process endorsements and invoice any Agency Bill items related to policy modifications.
  • Review and process new and renewal policies, completing checklists and addressing discrepancies with the Account Executive (AE).
  • Manage policy audits and invoice any applicable Agency Bill items for accurate financial tracking.
  • Report claims, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up with insurance carriers for proper claims handling.
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets for tracking insurance activities, policies, claims, and invoicing, while ensuring necessary documents are pulled, attached, and organized.
Licenses & Certifications

P&C Licensed (Preferred).

Skills & Experience to be Successful
  • 1-2 years Commercial Insurance experience, preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Professional office environment experience.
Pay Range

Pay Range $21.64 - $25.00 Hourly. The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
