Key Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Review insurance submissions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist senior underwriters in gathering and verifying underwriting data.
  • Prepare and maintain policy files and documentation in compliance with guidelines.
  • Conduct preliminary risk assessments and input data into rating systems.
  • Communicate with brokers and internal teams to obtain missing information.
  • Support the underwriting team with administrative tasks such as preparing quotes and endorsements.
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, finance, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in insurance, underwriting support, or administrative roles.
  • Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and risk assessment preferred.
Certifications / Licenses / Registrations

Functional Skills
  • Attention to detail for reviewing and validating documentation.
  • Basic analytical skills to support risk evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
