About the Claims Trainee ProgramCURE’s Claims Trainee Program provides an opportunity to build a strong foundation in the insurance industry while gaining hands-on experience across the Claims Department.
As a Claims Trainee, you will participate in a structured training program designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of auto claims, customer service, coverage, vehicle damage, and claim investigation. You will work alongside experienced claims professionals while developing the knowledge, judgment, and communication skills needed to advance your career in insurance.
This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated recent graduate who enjoys solving problems, working with people, analyzing information, and taking on new challenges.
What You’ll DoAs you progress through the program, you will:
Learn the fundamentals of the auto insurance claim process from First Notice of Loss through claim resolution.
Assist claims professionals with day-to-day assignments and claim-related activities.
Communicate with customers, claimants, repair facilities, legal professionals, medical providers, and other parties to gather information needed to resolve claims.
Document facts and details surrounding losses accurately and thoroughly.
Learn how to review insurance policies and identify applicable coverages.
Develop an understanding of vehicle damage, repair procedures, and determining whether a vehicle is repairable or a total loss.
Identify and communicate potential claim concerns or red flags to experienced claims professionals and team leaders.
Perform analytical work and assist with projects that support the Claims Department.
Develop an understanding of how Claims interacts with Underwriting, Customer Service, Legal, and other areas of the organization.
Participate in ongoing classroom, virtual, and hands-on training.
Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism in every interaction.
Meet established productivity, quality, and claim cycle-time standards.
Perform other related duties and special projects assigned.
What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
No prior insurance experience required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply them in a practical environment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Customer-focused mindset and professional demeanor.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Interest in building a long-term career in the insurance industry.
Knowledge of automobile components, systems, repair procedures, or related options is a plus, but not required.
