* Job Purpose:

** The Senior Risk Specialist is responsible for working items such as weekly, quarterly and monthly reporting for projects and necessary department related deliverables assigned by the Senior Risk Manager and/or Department Leadership.  The responsibilities include prime contract reviews, negotiations with owner’s on insurance terms, subcontract reviews, placement, maintenance and oversight of project specific insurance policies, continuous oversight of insurance related contract Exhibits and addendums on the corporate and project level, collaboration with insurance brokerages as well as insurance companies and management of various software specifically utilized for risk management and insurance purposes.

Review of project and corporate related matters that have varying levels of risk associated to provide guidance and outline recommended best practices to both Clune and client staff to eliminate or significantly reduce adverse outcomes of occurring. This role will regularly engage with project owners and their affiliates in ensuring compliance for the insurance parameters provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to operate independently while keeping company and department objectives in mind and understanding of both field and office risks  to be addressed in a timely manner.

* Essential Functions:

* • Provide guidance to the department staff tasked with of the enrollment, implementation, and close-out of Builder’s Risk and SDI policies as well as surety bonds, both on the project and corporate level inclusive of other unique project specific insurance.  
• Manage and coordinate with project teams on the requests for various insurance carriers in loss control visits as needed to support the regional offices throughout the country.  
• Engage with Insurance Specialist and Senior Insurance Specialist for including but not limited to general liability, workman’s compensation, personal, property, or casualty losses based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage to the extent on site presence for a given matter may be required.

• Coordinate with project teams and project owners in the ongoing maintenance related to operating under a controlled insurance program including the enrollment and bidding procedures associated with projects of this nature.

• Work with the Risk Manager on various reviews of either prime or subcontracts to address project related risk that may stem from contractual language and be able to communicate the associated risks to project teams.

• Contribute to the annual insurance renewal process inclusive of negotiations with broker and meetings with current or prospective carriers.

• Consistent contact with Clune’s external insurance brokerage teams for maintenance of the practice policies in use throughout the regional offices.
