At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Senior Account Manager
, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.
- Manage a large and complex book of personal lines business while delivering exceptional client service
- Process account transactions including applications, quotations, , proposals, endorsements, binders, billing, and correspondence
- Respond to client, carrier, producer, and internal service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Identify account rounding and cross-selling opportunities to enhance client relationships and coverage solutions
- Conduct account reviews and coverage consultations to identify potential coverage gaps and recommend solutions
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management and document management systems
- Stay current on carrier products, underwriting requirements, rating methodologies, and industry trends
- Assist with training, mentoring, and development of new team members and personal lines colleagues
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience including at least 3 years in an Account Manager role
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required
- Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance coverage, underwriting, and rating concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships and service needs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Expertise in high-net-worth personal lines insurance programs
- Industry designations such as CISR, CIC, CPRIA, or similar certifications
- Experience using AMS Sagitta, Image Right, or similar agency management systems
- Strong understanding of personal lines markets, carrier guidelines, and underwriting practices
- Experience conducting coverage reviews and consultative risk discussions with clients
- Experience mentoring, training, or supporting junior team members
- College degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field
- Proven commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and client retention
- Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000 annually
