Role Summary

A strategic leadership role responsible for building and scaling Rokstone’s Professional Liability business across North America. Driving underwriting excellence, profitable growth, product development, and market expansion, you will establish a high-performing underwriting business and help position Rokstone as a leading Financial Lines risk transfer provider. This role is ideally suited to a highly experienced Professional Liability underwriting leader who combines deep technical expertise, strong people leadership, and a passion for building successful underwriting businesses.

Role Accountabilities

• Build out and be the technical lead of the Professional Liability business, within the Rokstone North American Financial Lines platform, creating a profitable and scalable underwriting operation.
• Launch and grow the E&O portfolio across multiple subclasses of Professional Liability.
• Refine/augment underwriting appetite, pricing strategies, governance frameworks, underwriting guidelines, and referral processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Financial Lines (E&O) underwriters.
• Oversee portfolio management, underwriting performance, profitability, and product development.
• Support the strategic expansion into D&O, Financial Institutions, Cyber, and additional Financial Lines products.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, carrires, reinsurers and key market stakeholders to support long term growth.
• Any additional duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

• Extensive Financial Lines underwriting experience with deep expertise in E&O and Professional Liability.
• Proven track record of building, managing, and growing profitable underwriting portfolios.
• Strong people leadership experience, including oversight of underwriting teams and referral processes.
• Demonstrated success developing underwriting guidelines, governance frameworks, and product strategies. Strong commercial understanding of the North American insurance market and broker distribution landscape.
• Ability to balance growth ambitions with underwriting discipline and profitability.
