Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to provide customers with technical support/actions. Additional duties include processing of warranty claims/servicing/repair of customer systems and document data as it relates to customer satisfaction, call logs, warranty, and service activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Partners with the Sales team to provide customers with technical support/actions.
- Completes and analyzes required repairs (warranty/non warranty) on customer equipment as needed, along with providing phone diagnosis of these systems as applicable.
- Enters sales orders into ERP computer system in relation to customer service processing needs and related points, processing customer confirmations at time of entry and or as needed.
- Provides effective customer service for all internal and external customers by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs.
- Identifies, reports, and works to address quality concerns/nonconformities through failure analysis in relation to product deficiencies/failures.
- Coordinates issues/needs between sales, materials, quality and manufacturing management and other personnel as needed.
- Enters data into CRM GS database for tracking/reporting data as it relates to customer satisfaction, call logs, warranty and or service activities.
- Assists Sales and Engineering on new product research through in-house/field testing, environmental and troubleshooting per customer requirements and market trends.
- Observes and supports as applicable to this position/department pertinent ISO 9001:2015 standards (9.1.2, 9.1.3, 10.2).
- Strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact with all departments in a professional manner.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along well with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, and flexible both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to perform mechanical and electronic device assembly / disassembly.
- Skilled in the best practices of ESD control and electronic device handling best practices.
- Skilled in the best practices for soldering electronic PCB assemblies and wiring.
- Ability to use common test instruments and equipment.
- Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Windows environment and common office applications.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency and 2+ years of experience in electronics or related field required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and calculators. While on the floor, you may be subject to loud noises.
Physical Demands:The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
