Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS) is seeking to expand its list of on-call interpreters and translators to support our legal teams and better serve the diverse communities of Greater Boston. We are especially in need of professionals who are available for inperson interpretation services.

Languages of Need: Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Simplified Chinese, Amharic, Arabic, Moroccan Arabic, Khmer, Cantonese, Mandarin, Toisanese, Vietnamese, French, Dari, Pashto, Fulani and Luganda.

Work Type:

• In-person interpretation (on-call)
• Paid by invoice

Standard Rates:

• $50/hour for in-person interpretation
• $55/hour for written translation

Interpreters with qualifying credentials are eligible for increased pay:

• $65/hour for certified in-person interpretation
• $70/hour for certified written translation
• A certificate from an accredited academic institution, or
• Proof of court certification

  Certifications from private language businesses or corporations do not qualify.

Eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
