POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Enrollment Advisor
- Spanish Fluency and Hispanic Community Liaison serves as a key member of Avila University’s frontline recruitment and onboarding team and as the University’s primary admissions liaison to Spanish-speaking prospective students, families, schools, community organizations, and community partners.

This position is responsible for guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment while ensuring a responsive, informative, and student-first experience. Working in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment, the Advisor executes outreach campaigns, builds strong relationships with students and families, and manages an assigned caseload to support application completion, onboarding progress, and first-day readiness.

A central responsibility of this position is expanding Avila University’s engagement with the Spanish-speaking community. The Advisor will communicate Avila University’s admissions requirements, academic opportunities, financial aid information, enrollment processes, and student resources in Spanish; represent the University at high schools, community organizations, college fairs, and other events serving Spanish-speaking students and families; and provide Spanish-language interpretation and assistance to prospective students and families visiting campus.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a defined caseload of prospective students, guiding them through every stage of the recruitment funnel—from initial inquiry through enrollment—ensuring timely completion of the application, transcript submission, FAFSA, immunization records, required paperwork, housing, and other onboarding milestones.
  • Monitor and track student progress through the application, financial aid, and onboarding process; proactively resolve barriers by collaborating with Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Life, Academic Advising, and other appropriate University offices.
  • Engage family decision-makers by providing financial aid guidance, connecting them to campus resources, and offering support in completing all enrollment requirements.
  • Communicate with Spanish-speaking prospective students and families throughout the recruitment and enrollment process in Spanish, ensuring that admissions requirements, deadlines, application procedures, financial aid information, enrollment requirements, and next steps are clearly understood.
  • Present Avila University’s admissions requirements, academic opportunities, financial aid information, enrollment process, campus resources, and student experience in Spanish during individual meetings, group presentations, school visits, community events, and recruitment programs.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Avila University and the Hispanic and Spanish-speaking community, building sustained relationships that increase awareness of and access to the University.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, educators, community leaders, faith-based organizations, nonprofit organizations, businesses, cultural organizations, and other groups serving Spanish-speaking students and families.
  • Identify opportunities for Avila University to participate in high school, community, cultural, educational, and organizational events focused on Hispanic and Spanish-speaking populations.
  • Represent Avila University at Spanish-language and bilingual recruitment programs, college fairs, high school visits, community presentations, family programs, and organizational events.
  • Provide Spanish-language interpretation and admissions-related translation assistance for prospective students and families during campus visits, appointments, recruitment events, admitted student programs, orientation activities, and other enrollment-related interactions.
  • Assist Spanish-speaking families in navigating University offices and connecting with appropriate representatives…
