Position: B Shift Haitian Creole Interpreter - Logansport Plant (New Hires Only) September 2026
Location: Northern

** This position provides interpreting and translation services and administrative support while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.###

SUMMARY:

Ability to interpret accurately for any management or personnel staff.

Must be able to interpret for any team members who are non-English speaking.

Ability to interpret documents accurately from English to Haitian Creole or vice versa.

Must be able to assist the dispensary staff with physicals and doctor appointments, including interpretation for any non-English-speaking team members at the doctor's office.

Any other tasks or miscellaneous duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Experience:

* Good general knowledge of the production areas and management personnel.
* Skilled in accurate interpretation.
* Must be able to communicate and translate effectively in both verbal and written formats in English and Haitian Creole and translate written documents.
* Confidentiality is a must.### Computer

Skills:

Basic PC skills preferred. Primarily Microsoft programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.### Communication

Skills:

Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of team members, from hourly employees to upper management, as well as government officials.### Special

Skills:

* Ability to drive a company vehicle.
* Must carry a valid driver's license.
* Class D Chauffeur's License is preferred to attend outside appointments.
* Excellent people skills and a willingness to assist as needed.
* Ability to work under little supervision.### REQUIREMENTS:
* Split shift with occasional nights/mornings depending on business needs.
* An interpreter assessment will be required to determine the individual's language proficiency and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
* A Motor Vehicle Report will be conducted.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months.### Specific Language Need:
