We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join our reputable law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and possess comprehensive legal expertise in all areas of family law. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional legal services to clients navigating complex family-related issues while working in a collaborative and professional environment.
The Family Law Attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception through resolution, ensuring adherence to legal standards and client objectives.
- Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, visitation, and support cases.
- Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support on complex legal issues.
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions effectively to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Manage a caseload involving a variety of family law cases.
- Prepare for and appear in court proceedings, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
- Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all procedural requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide clear legal guidance throughout the process.
- Stay current on developments in family law and related legal fields to ensure the highest quality of representation.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience practicing family law, litigation, and legal drafting.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms including Westlaw and Lexis Nexis.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate amicable resolutions when possible.
- Legal administrative experience to manage case workflows efficiently.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills for client interaction and courtroom advocacy.
