Your duty station will be based on agency needs and your location.
** This position requires travel across North Carolina to assist prosecutors in various districts, making adaptability and independence essential.
** As a Financial Crimes Resource Prosecutor, you will be a vital partner in empowering prosecutors and allied professionals with the tools, training, and guidance they need to maneuver through the Court System effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

* ** Be the Expert**:
Serve as a resource to prosecutors, law enforcement, financial professionals, social workers, victim advocacy agencies, and other allied professionals who work with victims of financial crimes and vulnerable adults in the State of North Carolina.
* ** Legal Consultation**:
Provide expert legal advice and technical assistance on financial crimes cases to prosecutors across the state.
* ** Case Prosecution & Litigation**:
Serve as lead or associate counsel, prepare and present cases in court, and represent the state in financial crimes cases as assigned.
* ** Pre-Trial Support**:
Support pre-trial investigations, including evidence gathering and strategic case development.
* ** Resource Development**:
Prepare articles, legal memoranda, and other resources for statewide distribution on current legal issues that involve financial crimes and vulnerable adults.
* ** Lead Training Initiatives**:
Assess training needs, design tailored programs, and deliver high-impact training to prosecutors, law enforcement, and other allied professionals.
* ** Provide Expert Guidance**:
Offer legal research, charging guidance, and support for pre-trial, trial, and appellate strategies related to financial crimes cases.
* ** Collaborate and Connect**:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including state and federal agencies, social workers, financial professionals, and other allied professionals.
