Draft and negotiate a variety of above-the-line agreements for animated series, specials, specialty features and short-form content, including rights acquisition agreements and agreements for writers, voice actors, producers, and consultants for Dream Works Animation Television and Universal Kids Digital Studios projects.
Legal Counsel Role TypeFull-time
Requirements- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school, or foreign equivalent
- Member in good standing of the state bar of California, or member in good standing of another state bar and qualified to register as California in-house counsel
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a motion picture studio, production company, network, law firm or other relevant experience.
- Superior drafting, negotiation, communication and organizational skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadlines.
- Ability to build interdepartmental relationships at all levels
“What can I offer?”
- Transactional experience. Experience drafting and negotiating production services, animation and live-action television contracts and/or other entertainment contracts a plus.
Compensation: $140,000 - $170,000 /year USD
