We are looking for a motivated Associate Attorney (3–5 years of experience) who doesn’t just “handle” cases, but drives them. As an Associate at Lieser Skaff, you will be on the front lines, owning your files and standing up in court. We don’t do micro-management. We provide the elite platform, the mentorship of Super Lawyers®, and high‑stakes cases — you provide the grit, the independent work ethic, the desire to win, and a commitment to building lasting client relationships.

Attorneys with a demonstrated ability to generate and maintain client relationships are strongly encouraged to apply.

Lieser Skaff is not just another litigation firm in Tampa, Florida. Recognized by Best Law Firms® for excellence in Real Estate and Commercial Litigation, and led by partners consistently named to Florida’s Legal Elite, we deliver “Big Law” results with the agility of a premier boutique practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Clients: Lead property and business litigation matters from intake to resolution with a high degree of independence.
  • Advocate with Confidence: Draft high-level pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Courtroom Presence: Prepare for and attend court hearings, trials, and mediations.
  • Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support document preparation and case strategy.
  • Strategic Counseling: Provide direct legal counsel and guidance to our diverse client base.
  • Collaborative Management: Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case management.
  • Administrative Excellence: Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
Who You Are (Qualifications)
  • Experience & Credentials: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Proven Track Record: 3–5 years of Real Estate and/or litigation experience.
  • Academic Excellence: Strong academic credentials and a polished professional background.
  • A “Go-Getter”: You are a “boots trapper” who sees a problem, researches the solution, and executes without needing a manual.
  • Independent Operator: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively without being prompted.
  • Communication Pro: Exceptional attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and comfort with public speaking and courtroom appearances.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in legal research tools and software (Clio and Net Docs experience is a plus).
  • Team Player: A strong work ethic with a commitment to a collaborative and unified team culture.
  • Autonomy & Trust: We hire adults. We give you the freedom to manage your cases and the support to ensure you succeed.
  • Elite Mentorship: Work directly with attorneys recognized as Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars.
  • Modern Systems: We utilize top‑tier tech (Clio, Net Docs) and have a dedicated Office Manager to handle “operational noise,” allowing you to focus on the law.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary: $120,000–$150,000, based on experience.
  • Eligible for quarterly performance-based bonuses.
  • Profit‑sharing/retirement plan options.
  • Origination Compensation: structured compensation for clients brought to the firm, with significant upside for attorneys who maintain or grow a book of business.
  • Health & Wellness: comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Growth: real opportunities for professional development in a firm that is actively scaling.
