Job Description # Legal Attachment Specialist
* Review, interpret, and process garnishments, child support orders, tax liens, IRS levies, and other legal attachments in accordance with federal, state, and organizational requirements.
* Place, update, and remove account restrictions, holds, and freezes as required by legal orders.
* Conduct detailed account research to determine compliance requirements and available funds.
* Perform high-volume data entry of legal orders and related case information while validating documents and account data to ensure accurate processing.
* Monitor queues and workloads to ensure timely processing and adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).
* Review incoming legal documentation for accuracy, completeness, and validity.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of actions taken on accounts.
* Identify and escalate complex cases, discrepancies, or potential compliance concerns.
* Communicate with internal departments, legal entities, courts, employers, and government agencies as needed.
* Support team objectives by assisting with workload balancing, queue management, and process improvements.
* Participate in quality reviews and ensure adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Knowledge of legal regulations, court orders, and compliance requirements related to garnishments, levies, and liens.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
* Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
* Proficiency in researching and interpreting legal documents and account information.
* Proficiency with Word.
* Previous legal experience in a law office, court system, or financial institution.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume workload with minimal supervision.
* Experience with queue management, case processing, and regulatory compliance.
* Ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business partners.
