Secured Financing TransactionsThe associate analyzes and designs financing structures before advising on documents and execution. The transaction work includes debt and debt-like financings across industries, structures, and capital structures. Norm Law's finance and restructuring practice areas include secured and unsecured senior and junior facilities, subscription and NAV facilities, hybrid facilities, secondary financings, and asset-based financing.
Clients in this practice include borrowers, capital providers, arrangers, financial sponsors, asset managers, banks, and credit funds. The associate can work across acquisition financings, event-driven financings, add-ons, recapitalizations, and special situations. Each matter calls for a clear connection between the financing structure, the negotiated document, and the client's commercial objective.
Finance Practice CollaborationThe role collaborates with Private Equity, Private Funds, Investment Companies, Real Estate, Capital Solutions, Restructuring, and other practices. AI-Supported Legal WorkNorm Law's lawyers supervise AI agents that complete first-pass work. The associate learns the firm's AI platforms during the first 30 days, uses agents to review and generate transaction documentation during the first 60 days, and leads work streams across multiple secured financing matters during the first 90 days. The progression keeps legal judgment, drafting, negotiation, and client advice with the lawyer.
The firm describes a practice built around complex and consequential matters involving AI and law. The associate does not need prior AI experience. Curiosity about legal technology and a willingness to learn the firm's workflows matter alongside the required financing background.
