Position: ATTORNEY I

the occ litigation attorney serves as litigation counsel for the various dhs divisions, offices, and programs. Occ litigation attorney responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • legal advice to dhs and dhs offices and programs;
  • legal representation and counsel to dhs, dhs divisions, offices, and personnel in their official (and in their individual) capacities in state and federal court (non-jury) litigation, including appeals.
preferred qualifications

licensed to practice law and admitted to the arkansas state bar in accordance with aca 16-22-201. The formal education equivalent of a law degree from an accredited law school; plus three years of experience practicing law. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the office of personnel management.
