Preparing, monitoring and adjusting supply chain plan for the assigned items based on an analysis of data from the Sales forecast system, taking account of the established service level agreements, aimed at an optimum balance between achieving the SLAs and a minimum inventory level.
Primary responsibilities- Analysis - Insight into the quality of the information and parameters as a reliable basis for the planning
- Supply chain plan - Efficient, effective and timely supply chain planning (Buy-out, DRP or Demand) of the assigned items to ensure SLAs are achieved.
- Monitoring - Adjusting the plan where necessary to achieve SLA objectives.
- Risk management - Insight into and minimisation of consequences, risks and problems for the supply chain planning.
- Reporting - Stakeholders have the right and relevant information in good time and are in a position to steer effectively based on that information.
- Optimisation - Optimally set up and executed supply chain processes, systems and procedures and optimisation of the balance between SLAs and inventory levels.
- Stakeholder management - Optimum relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the balance between achieving service levels and reducing the inventory.
Proficient grasp of the following:
- Key supply chain principles: understanding of key supply chain principles and strategies.
- Systems aptitude: ability to comfortably work with advanced supply chain planning systems and tools
- Process Improvement: ability to challenge current processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Interpret data: ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from technical or business material.
- Communicate business information: effectively communicating and presenting complex data (both verbally and written) to influence all levels and global audiences; helps others understand data and translate it into actionable business insights.

- Strategic thinking: ability to think strategically and understand the broader view; demonstrates an understanding of the long-term, "big picture" view of needs and opportunities
- Managing multiple priorities: ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Relationship management: ability to develop and maintain effective and productive relationships, including ability to influence, negotiate and manage conflicts effectively and constructively with clients, vendors and peers.
- Critical thinking: ability to formulate conclusions and recommendations using facts and data, business analysis, deductive reasoning and sound judgment.
- Consulting: ability to effectively provide technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; knowledge of applicable tools and techniques to maximize consulting effectiveness.
- Knowledge of the business: knowledge of the Amway business and the key internal and external drivers that affect the business, including financial, political and industry trends.
- Experience with JDA Supply Chain Planning Fulfillment modules (or similar systems)
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or JD Edwards
- Prior experience as a supply planner or similar supply chain planning experience
