Overview
Yard Attendants at IAA, a RB Global, Inc. company, enjoy working in the elements. They are detail-oriented and able to work quickly, with a focus on safety and smooth operation. This frontline role involves learning new technologies and staying at the forefront of the auction industry across tools and resources.
Responsibilities- Vehicle check-in by recording and filing information on vehicles assigned to the facility
- Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve appearance and value at auction, training provided
- Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner, moving vehicles around the facility and/or participating in drive-through auctions
- Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch
- Assist visitors by providing guidance and directing them to the appropriate person for assistance
- Train and develop on the job in forklift and loader operation
Minimum requirements
All candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). There are physical demands of this role, so please read them carefully and understand that this is not a desk job. An upbeat demeanor to ensure every customer interaction is positive is essential. If you know about cars or have general mechanical knowledge, you’ll fit in well. Teamwork is crucial to our success.
A valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate a motor vehicle as required for job duties are required.
Preferred
While not required, candidates with basic automotive repair skills or experience in the rental or construction area often fit well. Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry or related field is preferred.
