Logistics Coordination, Inventory Control & Analysis
Location: Northern
SSI is seeking a Logistics Analyst to support NAVAIR PMX-242 Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Pro-gram’ office responsible for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of direct and time sensitive strike weapons. This position is to support the U.S. Navy/Marine Corps Airborne Gun Systems. This position will be located at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, California.
Pay Range $45.08 - $52.74
Responsibilities- Evaluate, inspect, maintain, and certify Aviation Guns Systems (AGS) and Linkless Ammunition Loading Systems (LALS) programs assets to recover serviceable equipment and return assets to Ready-for-Issue status.
- Perform maintenance, condition assessments, disassembly, preservation, packaging, storage, transportation, and asset accountability in accordance with Navy technical manuals and procedures.
- Analyze maintenance, reliability, and readiness data to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and improve lifecycle sustainment and Fleet supportability.
- Manage inventory, provisioning, material forecasting, physical inventories, and logistics records while maintaining accountability for Government assets.
- Develop logistics documentation, Bills of Material, provisioning data, readiness reports, and technical deficiency reports, and support logistics reviews with Government stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Navy maintenance procedures, OSHA/NAVOSH requirements, hazardous material handling, and applicable logistics and safety regulations.
- Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Navy/Marine Corps logistics, maintenance, supply, or sustainment programs.
- Knowledge of Navy maintenance procedures, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), inventory management, provisioning, and lifecycle sustainment.
- Experience interpreting technical manuals, engineering drawings, and logistics documentation.
- Ability to analyze logistics and readiness data and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with government, engineering, maintenance, and supply personnel.
- Prior Navy/Marine Corps Aviation Ordnance experience.
- Experience with NAVSUP, DLA, MILSTRIP, NAMP, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning, FLIS/FEDLOG, All-Weapons Information System (Guns Inventory Tracking and Reporting - GITR) or related systems.
- Familiarity with AGS, LALS, and Conventional Ordnance Discrepancy Reports (CODR).
- Must have Active DoD Clearance and relevant USN/USMC experience.
BS or BA degree:
- Working towards Professional Logistics Certification (CPL).
- Experience:
Of at least 10 years’ experience at least six (6) years of experience in defense life cycle (ac-quisition) or operational logistics. - An additional two (2) years of experience working in direct support of Defense life-cycle logistics can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
