Sr. Manager, Bulk Procurement

Summary:The Analyst, Bulk Procurement supports dry and liquid bulk procurement activities across Odyssey's business units — including sourcing events, carrier data management, performance tracking, and market research. It's a strong entry point into procurement, with hands‑on exposure to sourcing strategy, carrier management, and data-driven decision-making.
What You'll Do:Procurement & Sourcing
- Support execution of dry and liquid procurement strategies, including data gathering, carrier outreach, and bid coordination.
- Help identify network-based transportation solutions that balance cost competitiveness with service requirements.
- Assist with bid analysis, routing guide data entry, and award scenario summaries.
- Help build and maintain relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs).
- Track and report carrier KPIs (OTD, acceptance, cost, compliance), flagging trends and adherence issues.
- Gather and summarize market trend data to support pricing, planning, and budget processes.
- Maintain data on the long-tail carrier base to support risk reduction and performance improvement.
- Partner with business unit procurement and operations teams to gather requirements and provide data for solution development.
- Collaborate with Master Data teams on accurate routing data setup and maintenance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline procurement processes and improve carrier engagement.
- Observe contract and service agreement processes, building foundational negotiation and contracting knowledge.
- Prepare routine reports and analysis to support Manager and Director decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and corporate governance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field; internship/co-op experience considered.
- Coursework or exposure to transportation procurement, sourcing, or carrier management a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail; proficiency in Excel required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams.
