About the Position

Health System Services is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Operations & Logistics Intern to support our Clinical Operations team during an exciting warehouse transition. This three-month internship offers hands-on exposure to the operational flow of a healthcare and durable medical equipment environment.

In this role, you will assist with clinical coordination, documentation, shipping and receiving, inventory, procurement, and warehouse organization. You will have the opportunity to work across office and warehouse settings while helping ensure equipment, supplies, records, and orders are handled accurately and efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

Support Clinical Coordinators with assigned patient, provider, and internal communications.

Assist with scheduling, follow-up outreach, documentation collection, order coordination, and data entry.

Organize, scan, upload, and maintain clinical, order, and operational documentation while protecting confidential information.

Help track open orders, missing documentation, deliveries, and follow-up items to support timely patient service.

Assist with preparing, packing, labeling, and shipping equipment, supplies, and related materials.

Support receiving activities by verifying quantities, inspecting packages for visible damage, documenting discrepancies, and placing inventory in designated locations.

Help maintain organized warehouse areas, including staging areas, shelving, bins, packing stations, and supply locations.

Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliation, labeling, and location updates.

Help track purchase orders, vendor deliveries, backorders, shipments, and supply needs.

Support warehouse-relocation activities by organizing records, preparing supplies and equipment, and moving, sorting, staging, and organizing inventory as directed.

Promptly report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, shipping concerns, safety issues, or workflow barriers to the appropriate supervisor.

Follow all applicable safety, infection-control, privacy, quality, and organizational policies.

Collaborate respectfully with Clinical Operations, Warehouse, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Service, and other departments.

Qualifications for Success

Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program in healthcare administration, supply chain management, business, operations, logistics, or a related field preferred.

Prior customer service, healthcare, inventory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or administrative experience is preferred.

Interest in healthcare operations, durable medical equipment, clinical coordination, supply chain, or warehouse logistics.

Demonstrated kindness, friendliness, dependability, and a positive attitude.

Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle protected health information and sensitive business information.

  • $18.00/hr.
