About the role:
A Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff. Warehouse Supervisors often work in busy environments where priorities can change at a moment’s notice, so an ability to multitask is and delegate is essential with this role. Important Warehouse Supervisor job duties and responsibilities include:
What You’ll Do:Overseeing receiving and dispatching procedures for shipments
Assigning and handling the workloads and daily tasks with the Warehouse Associates
Communicating with customers to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems.
Monitoring inventory and shipment transactions for accuracy
Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained.
Monitoring Warehouse Associates to ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery.
Complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Completing reports by entering required information.
Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Making deliveries to site as needed based on requests from the field.
Must be able to drive a box truck or company van and have a valid driver's license.
Experience with Operating a forklift
Teamwork and coordination.
Organization, planning, and time management.
Reporting and documentation skills.
Equipment maintenance skills.
Data entry skills.
Dependability and high-quality standards
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Preferred forklift certification or capability to complete forklift certification training; company safety can provide forklift certification training.
