The RoleWork Model: Onsite – Office/Warehouse Environment
Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week; overtime required as scheduled
Travel Requirements: None

Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Reports to: Manager, Operations
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports the daily shipping and receiving operations for the LTL department, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, order entry, receiving, and shipping activities. This role ensures customer cargo is received and shipped safely, promptly, and accurately while maintaining proper documentation, appointment schedules, inventory information, and shipment statuses.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable communicating with customers, carriers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams.
What You'll DoWe are seeking a dependable and organized logistics professional who can coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities while providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate records.
- Shipping & Receiving Coordination
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound customer shipments using the load board.
- Process customer orders and coordinate inbound and outbound bookings.
- Receive products into inventory and monitor inventory levels.
- Verify pickups and deliveries and update shipment statuses in applicable computer systems.
- Prepare and maintain all required documentation for inbound and outbound customer inventory.
- Ensure paperwork is accurate and complete before products are released for shipment.
- Distribute daily warehouse reports identifying materials scheduled to ship.
- Maintain shipping and receiving windows and appointment logs.
- Confirm appointments and communicate schedule changes as needed.
- Respond to customer, vendor, and driver questions and address concerns or complaints professionally.
- Communicate with carriers, shippers, consignees, warehouse employees, and internal departments.
- Provide timely communication by phone and email regarding shipment activities.
- Track and trace domestic and international shipments from pickup through final delivery.
- Operations & Quality Support
- Report incidents, accidents, service failures, and claims.
- Support the Operations team in meeting safety, accuracy, and service expectations.
- Assist the International Group with administrative and clerical activities according to established procedures.
- Cross-train with account managers and participate in continuing education and training as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar shipping, receiving, logistics, transportation, or warehouse environment preferred.
- Transportation or metals industry experience preferred.
