Job Description:

Responsible for leading TENTE USA’s end-to-end supply chain planning and execution to ensure customer demand is translated into effective inventory, material, supplier, and internal manufacturing requirements. The Supply Chain Manager provides forward-looking visibility to demand, supply, inventory, and capacity risks and leads cross-functional actions to support customer delivery, working capital, and Company objectives.

The Supply Chain Manager owns demand planning, forecasting, inventory strategy, supply planning, supplier strategy, localization/onshoring planning, supply chain analytics, and the supply-and-demand planning process. The role works closely with Operations and Production Planning to identify future capacity constraints while Operations retains ownership of detailed production scheduling and execution. The Supply Chain Manager also provides organizational leadership and oversight of the Customer Service function through the Customer Service Manager.

Primary Responsibilites:
  • Own the demand planning and forecasting process for both purchased and internally manufactured products and components, using historical demand, customer forecasts, backlog, commercial input, and known business changes.
  • Translate finished-goods demand into material, component, inventory, and internal manufacturing requirements through ERP/MRP and product structures.
  • Analyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, trends, and changes in customer requirements; challenge assumptions and improve forecast quality over time.
  • Own inventory strategy and inventory targets, including safety stock, reorder parameters, inventory turns, excess and obsolete inventory, and working-capital considerations.
  • Develop medium- and long-term supply plans and identify future material, supplier, and manufacturing capacity constraints before they impact customers.
  • Partner with Operations and Planning to compare manufacturing requirements with available machine, labor, tooling, and work-center capacity.
  • Provide forward-looking workload and capacity visibility and develop scenarios and recommendations when demand exceeds available supply or manufacturing capacity.
  • Lead the regular supply-and-demand planning / S&OP process, connecting Demand, Inventory, Materials, Manufacturing Requirements, Capacity, and Customer Delivery.
  • Own supply chain analytics, KPI development, and reporting, including forecast accuracy, inventory performance, supplier delivery, shortages, backlog, lead time, and customer delivery risk.
  • Review, interpret, and analyze ERP and business intelligence data to identify root causes, risks, trends, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide leadership and direction for purchasing and supplier-management activities, including supplier strategy, performance, continuity, cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Oversee supplier sourcing and commercial activities, including negotiations, supplier transitions, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Lead supply-risk mitigation and contingency planning for critical materials and suppliers.
  • Play a lead role in localization and onshoring initiatives by developing transition plans that address demand, inventory, supplier, tooling, lead-time, capacity, and working-capital requirements.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Sales, and Customer Service on make-versus-buy, localization, sourcing, capacity, and inventory decisions.
  • Manage the Customer Service function through the Customer Service Manager, ensuring alignment between customer commitments, order management, supply capability, and delivery performance.
  • Provide management, development, and oversight of the Customer Service Manager and Supply Chain team while maintaining clear accountability for day-to-day functional responsibilities.
  • Partner with Customer Service on backlog, allocation, customer priorities, escalations, and delivery-risk management.
  • Ensure company purchasing and delivery policies and applicable ISO procedures are followed and continuously improved.
