The Supply Chain Internship Program is geared toward current college students who have a passion for their major and an interest in Consumers Energy and the energy industry. The Internship Program at Consumers Energy has core principles of skill development, ability enhancement, and knowledge application - experience designed to be complimentary to traditional classroom instruction.

• Assistingwithprocurementactivities including data cleansing,data deepdives,metrics creationandmaintenance, materialcontractbidding,negotiationsandawards
• Supporting Supply Chain Operationswithinthe Material Services /Logistics department
• Performingsupportfunctionsandmorecomplextasksincludingestablishingrelativeprioritiesofcurrentanticipatedworkload,organizingandconductingassignmentsaccordingtodeadlines,trackingofinformation,maintaining logs/spreadsheets,andother similar support
• Undergeneraldirection,the Supply Chain Internwillpreparespecialor  one-time reports,summaries,orrepliestoinquiries,selectingrelevantinformationfromavarietyofsourcessuchasreports,documents,correspondence,otherareasofthecompany,etc.
• Periodically,the selected Internmayevaluateprocess and program effectiveness andtakeaction to maintaincontinuousimprovement
• The Supply Chain  Internwillparticipateasanactiveteam memberby contributingtoprogramdevelopmentand organization planning,perform responsibilities in a manner that clearly shows effective communication andcooperationandthatpromotesopenexchangeofinformation,respect,highethicalstandardsandprofessionalism
• Internsareexpectedtofollowsallsafetyrulesandprocedures,andcontributetothesafetyofco-workersandthegeneral public,maintainaclean and organized work space,and perform tasks supporting
