Facility Maintenance Worker II – Kentucky State Police

The Kentucky State Police Facility Maintenance Worker II plays an important role in ensuring that all buildings and properties assigned to the Kentucky State Police are taken care of and safe for operation. The Facility Maintenance Worker II will be responsible for the daily janitorial maintenance, and general repair required for an assigned facility and grounds. The individual in this position will provide assistance to Post 5, Campbellsburg.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinates the work of employees and assists the supervisor in maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Performs employees' duties in maintaining and repairing plumbing and sewerage systems, electrical systems, and associated equipment.
- Makes carpentry repairs to buildings and equipment and performs janitorial duties in maintaining buildings and adjacent areas.
- Operates machinery and equipment and assists skilled tradesperson.
- Identifies maintenance needs or repairs and performs basic repairs of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance issues.
- Mowing experience.
- Mechanical maintenance experience.
- Coordinating with outside vendors for services.
- Painting surfaces or buildings.
- Education:
None. - Experience:
One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience. - Substitute Education for
Experience:
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis. - Substitute Experience for
Education:
None. - Special Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
Incumbents may be exposed to extreme temperatures; must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment.
SalaryPay Range: $34,000.00/yr to $34,000.00/yr
