We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Facility Maintenance Worker II who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans.

Expectations for this position include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the care maintenance and appearance of grounds and exterior of building.
• Repairs and maintains all grounds equipment, including mowers, trimmers, edger’s, and other associated equipment.
• Removes trash and debris from facility grounds.
• Maintains plants, grass, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Assists in snow and ice removal during inclement weather.
• Paints walls in resident rooms and other duties as assigned.

• Experience, Training, or
  
  Skills:
  
  One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
• Substitute Education for
  
  Experience:
  
  Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Substitute Experience for
  
  Education:
  
  NONE
• Special Requirements (Age, Licensure, Regulation, etc.): Must be 18 years of age.

Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires following safety procedures. Must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment.
