Burlington Capital Properties has a great opportunity available to assist in the upkeep of Allen Creek, our housing community located in Burlington, Kentucky. The role of the Groundskeeper/Porter assists all team members to protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property.

We value team members who understand their impact on the overall success of the property and are seeking friendly, customer service-oriented individuals. This position requires availability Monday – Friday, 8AM to 5PM.

• Clean all common areas and walkways, and maintain overall property appearance
• Walk the property daily to maintain 'curb appeal' - trash pick-up; cutting, trimming, watering greenery and flowers; sweeping certain areas.
• Assist the maintenance team with light repairs and routine maintenance tasks
• Maintain resident relations – provide excellent customer service to residents; participate in resident functions as required by the Property Manager
• Follow all safety and liability guidelines – help ensure that all items listed in the safety inspection report are up to company standards; report all oversights to Property Manager as directed
• Contribute to team effort – maintain expense control to meet budget; participate in preventative maintenance schedule as required; attend all staff meetings; other duties as assigned by management

• General maintenance experience required
• Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
• Must have basic understanding of English language and be able to communicate with coworkers
• Ability to effectively communicate issues, problems, ideas, concerns and information on work progress
• Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
• Ability to exercise schedule flexibility to accomplish set goals
