Maintenance Technician

Select Sires, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our production operations team in Plain City, Ohio. This position plays a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving facilities, equipment, and infrastructure that support the production of industry-leading dairy and beef genetics. This position helps ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations throughout the organization.

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, or emergency call-in work may be required
• Work schedules and responsibilities may be adjusted to support production and business needs

• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and operational issues.
• Support production equipment reliability and performance.
• Complete facility and grounds maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist with facility improvement and capital projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and equipment performance.
• Respond to maintenance requests and production support needs.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, agricultural operations, facilities maintenance, electrical systems, HVAC, welding, plumbing, or related trades.
• Technical certifications, vocational training, or maintenance-related education.

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull tools, equipment, and materials.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
• Safely work around production equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
