This position will manage the maintenance department to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and minimize unscheduled downtime including: planning and coordinating preventative, scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks; directing the activities of maintenance workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings, grounds, and utility systems. The role will be a mix of hands on and management. We operate with a Preventative Maintenance philosophy.

Candidates must believe in the benefits of preventative maintenance and must have experience in the operation of a successful preventative maintenance program. Manages staff, scheduling, coaching and corrective actions, and employee evaluations.

Knowledge, Skills/General Abilities and Experience

• Strong maintenance background in plant environment; 8+ years experience
• Strong background in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Experience in identifying and eliminating causes of downtime essential.
• Experience required in Predictive Maintenance methods.
• Able to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams and schematics.
• The role involves maintaining parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), reasoning, planning, and motivational skills.
• Candidate must be a team player and be able to report information to subordinates as well as managers.
• Evaluate new equipment purchases for integration within the facilities.

Hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, solenoid valves.

Weighing equipment, load cells, weighing amplifiers, metering conveyors.

Mobile Equipment – forklifts & loaders

4th Shift is Fri - Sun, 3 x 12-hr shifts, 6:45 am – 6:45 pm.
