Overview
Talis Group’s client is the country’s largest OEM accessories distributor. They are seeking an experienced Inbound Supervisor to provide leadership and hands-on, day-to-day management of the receiving department. This is a working supervisor role in a fast-paced warehouse environment, responsible for ensuring inbound products are received, inspected, and properly put away while maintaining high standards for safety, accuracy, productivity, and workflow compliance
.
Salary: $55 – 60K + solid benefits package
Highlighted Duties- Lead daily receiving operations and ensure inbound shipments are received and stocked accurately.
- Unload, stage, and put away inbound freight from trucks and small parcel deliveries.
- Ensure products are properly labeled and stored in correct bin/storage locations.
- Maintain all required receiving documentation and records.
- Manage vendor and customer returns.
- Schedule inbound loads with multiple freight carriers.
- Support and participate in cycle counting and inventory accuracy programs.
- Assign daily workloads and establish productivity goals based on customer demand.
- Promote and support Lean culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze operational data to identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
- Initiate accident reporting and participate in incident/accident investigations.
- Maintain open communication with peers, leadership, and other departments.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and IT standards.
- Manage departmental costs and revenue within assigned budget.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification required.
- Experience operating a parts picker and powered pallet jack required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a warehouse/distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of receiving operations, freight check-in, inventory handling, and cycle counting.
- Experience with labor planning and inbound visibility processes.
- Familiarity with KPIs used to measure warehouse performance.
- Experience using WMS/TMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass company background check and drug screen.
