Head Start Director

Central Office, Jamestown, KY • (10 county service area)

• Minimum of a baccalaureate degree and experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration.
• Knowledge in Early Childhood Education and Head Start Program.
• Minimum five (5) years’ program management experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Basic record keeping knowledge and budgetary management experience.
• Good work history and ability to establish professional working relationships with community partners.
• Ability to effectively communicate with Head Start staff, service providers, and families.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must successfully complete background checks, a physical exam, and drug/alcohol testing.

• Ensure all content areas covering all program options, including Early Head Start, Home Bacci, and Migrant, are monitored adequately to meet or exceed all Head Start Performance Standards.
• Collaborate with Community Partners, including LEAs.
• Ensure Strategic Plan, Self-Assessment, and Community Needs Assessment are updated as required.
• Review program budget monthly.
• Visit each Center regularly.
