Operations Manager

The Terminal Manager will plan and control all cylinder movement into and out of the facility, provide the production planning function for the facility. This position reports to the Branch Manager. Dimensions:

Manages a unit or function that is part of a larger function. Follows established organizational policies. Develops procedures; recommends policies. Decisions involve translating the Division's goals and objectives into unit objectives, defined work assignments and projects; conducting and implementing actions; and short-term planning. Position Accountabilities - Responsible for Vehicle fleet maintenance and registration.
- Responsible for the production planning role, entering and changing orders on the shop floor, min/max inventory control and driving our commitment to on time delivery to internal and external customers.
- Responsible for the hiring, staffing and training of quality, safe personnel for receiving and shipping products. Schedules work hours for all personnel in the Distribution functional group. Overtime to be approved by the Branch Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining the DOT required information on file for each driver.
- Responsible for effective team communication with all the members of the Management Team as well as internal and external customers of Nippon Sanso Matheson.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
- Experience in Supervisory Skills and Training, with a focus on team leadership and employee development
- Strong background in Operations Management and Terminal Operations
- Proven ability to excel in Customer Service and build effective client relationships
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and optimize operational performance
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
- Prior experience in a similar role within the industrial gases or logistics industry is a plus
- Required Experience:
Federal, state and local regulatory agencies (CFR, OSHA, EPA, SAHRA and DOT)
