Project Manager/Sales - Fire Protection
The Sales/Project Manager will be responsible for bidding service and contract work, creating job schedules, coordinating the delivery of tools and fabrications, identifying and managing the personnel assigned to each project, and tracking labor efficiency. In addition, the individual will be responsible for representing the company at job progress meetings and initiating change orders.
Essential duties and responsibilities include bidding service and contract work as required by the Branch Manager, accurately defining project requirements, creating job schedules, coordinating the delivery of tools and fabrication, identifying and managing the personnel assigned to each project and tracking labor efficiency, representing the company at job progress meetings, initiating change orders as needed, completing contract progress billings as required, estimating remaining "cost-to-cost" for monthly WIP reporting, managing the day-to-day operations of assigned projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget, serving as the main point of contact to clients on assigned projects, working with clients to brainstorm creative solutions to problems to ensure their needs are met through our customized solutions, monitoring assigned projects following established guidelines to ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible, communicating with team members regarding project needs, reading and analyzing job cost reports, responding in a timely manner to inquiries from management, and assisting with collections as required.
Supervisory responsibilities will provide direct supervision to the individuals assigned to the projects being managed.
Qualifications to perform this job successfully include a minimum of three to five years experience in the fire protection industry, working in sales, estimating, project management, and design, extensive knowledge of NFPA and industry standards, a degree from an accredited college or university is a plus, significant experience with Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to perform basic business mathematical functions.
