This is not a remote position; the employee is required to come into the facility for their regular schedule.

Position Summary

The Implementation Supervisor II is responsible for managing multiple client implementations and operational projects of varying size and complexity throughout the United States and Mexico. This role serves as the primary liaison between UPS and customer project teams, ensuring projects are executed successfully, milestones are achieved, risks are mitigated, and deliverables are completed on schedule. The Implementation Supervisor II plays a critical role in supporting business growth by driving timely project completion, enabling the successful onboarding of new business, and facilitating the realization of planned revenue opportunities.

Through effective project leadership and stakeholder coordination, this position helps ensure customer commitments are met while contributing to overall organizational profitability and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution
  • Manage multiple concurrent implementation projects ranging from small‑scale initiatives to large, complex customer implementations.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project plans utilizing Smartsheet.
  • Establish project timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, and obstacles that may impact project timelines.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and scope requirements.
  • Track and communicate project status, action items, and key milestones throughout the project lifecycle.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer implementations.
  • Host and facilitate weekly client project meetings to review project status, timelines, risks, and next steps.
  • Lead weekly internal UPS project meetings with assigned resources and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project updates, critical dates, risks, and achievements to both internal and external teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal business partners.
  • Ensure customer expectations are clearly defined, documented, and managed throughout the implementation process.
Leadership & Project Coordination
  • Lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct managerial authority.
  • Drive accountability among project participants to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.
  • Proactively seek out information, resources, and stakeholders necessary to advance project activities.
  • Facilitate collaboration across operations, engineering, IT, quality, customer service, and customer teams.
  • Escalate project risks, resource constraints, and critical issues as needed to protect project timelines and deliverables.
Change Control Management
  • Identify, document, and manage project scope changes through established change control processes.
  • Evaluate the impact of scope changes on timelines, resources, costs, and deliverables.
  • Obtain necessary approvals and communicate approved changes to all project stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Project Closeout
  • Confirm all project objectives, requirements, and deliverables have been successfully completed.
  • Facilitate formal project closeout meetings with both UPS and customer teams.
  • Ensure all stakeholders acknowledge project completion and acceptance of deliverables.
  • Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • 3‑5+ years of project management or implementation experience.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Experience working directly with customers in a professional, client‑facing environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Logistics, healthcare, supply chain, distribution, or implementation experience preferred.
